To design a scalable SaaS digital healthcare platform that serves as a connected ecosystem for doctors, patients, and pharmacists — streamlining clinical operations, patient care, and prescription fulfilment across multiple service verticals. The solution had to accommodate multiple brands under the Midnight Health umbrella, with modular architecture and consistent UX across the ecosystem.
The platform consists of:
Doctors & Practice Manager Portal: A cloud-based practice management and tele-health system enabling GPs to conduct secure consultations via text, audio, or video; issue prescriptions; and request pathology or imaging.
Patients’ Platform: A mobile-friendly health hub allowing patients to manage their healthcare journey — from appointment booking and prescription tracking to biometric monitoring, product purchasing, and accessing tailored health education.
Pharmacy Portal: A workflow-focused interface for pharmacists to receive and manage prescriptions, process medication dispensing, and track fulfilment. This portal also supports patient communication and compliance monitoring.
Online Store: A digital storefront integrated into the patient experience, offering subscription-based or one-time access to OTC products, supplements, and personalised treatments.
As the sole UX/UI Designer, I was responsible for leading the entire design process:
For the doctors’ portal, I designed the interface to ensure that all medical documentation and requests can be completed within a single window. This allows doctors to view vital patient information and statistics at all times, reducing the risk of human error – especially in situations where they may become distracted.

For the patients’ portal, the design enables patients to easily view and manage their treatment plans, with reminders for any outstanding tasks or upcoming appointments. The dashboard also displays product recommendations relevant to their consultation – for example, skin-related products after a dermatology appointment. As patients continue to use the service, we build a profile of their preferences to offer more personalised product suggestions over time.
